Rebates for Energy Star Appliances

Clothes Washers* – $25

Electric Clothes Dryers – $25

Efficient Clothes Washer

Compared to a standard non-qualified model, an Energy Star qualified, high-efficiency washer can save you between $45 and $130 a year on water and energy costs.

Select a model with a high CEE Tier – CEE ratings are based on energy and water consumption. CEE Tiers 2 & 3 exceed Energy Star’s efficiency requirements for new washers.

Select a model with a high IMEF – Integrated Modified Energy Factor (IMEF) is a measure of energy efficiency that reflects the energy used by the washer, water heater, and dryer to run a load of laundry; the higher the IMEF, the better the savings. Testing standards were modified in 2015 primarily demanding an increase for energy savings for top loading washers*. For rebate eligibility, qualified top loading washers must have a minimum Integrated Modified Energy Factor (IMEF) of 2.38 or higher or a CEE Tier rating.

Efficient Dryers

Energy Star certified dryers use 20 percent less energy than conventional models without sacrificing features or performance. They do this using innovative energy saving technologies, such as moisture sensors that detect when clothes are dry and automatically shut the dryer off.

Qualifying Details

To qualify for the above rebates you must be a current member of Inland Power & Light and have purchased an Energy Star certified appliance model. Requests for rebates must be received within 90 days of purchase with a copy of the receipt or invoice showing the date of purchase, model number and cost of the purchase. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing. These programs are subject to change without notice.
