STARTING HOURLY RATE: RANGE OF $36.05 PER HOUR (PAY RATE), $35.55 PER HOUR (CALC. RATE) - RAISE EVERY 6 MONTHS UNTIL MAX OF $45.07 PER HOUR (PAY RATE), $45.57 PER HOUR (CALC RATE) WITH A PERCENTAGE RAISE ANNUALLY AT THE FIRST OF EACH YEAR

HOURS: MONDAY TO THURSDAY, 6:30 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The rover warehouseman responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the disposition of material in the warehouse and associated operational areas of the cooperative.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Receiving, inventory control, dispensing tools and materials, salvaging and recovering high value items (such as copper, aluminum and tools for repair) and general housekeeping responsibilities. ​

  2. Receive freight deliveries; check packing slip and write receiving reports.  Enter receiving reports into computer and manually post to purchase orders.   

  3. Use forklift to unload freight and move to storage areas in the yard and warehouse. 

  4. Gather, issue and return materials for work orders to line personnel as per staking sheet. 

  5. Provide proper maintenance and care of all warehouse facilities, grounds and warehouse equipment including, but not limited to, buildings, hand trucks, shelving and bins. 

  6. Assist in coordinating compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements regarding testing transformers for PCB content and other hazardous materials.  Help complete and maintain accurate records and reports. 

  7. Obtain oil samples from transformers and ship to laboratory for analysis. Maintain strict adherence to regulatory direction for handling hazardous materials. 

  8. Prepare transformers for shipment to repair vendors and receive, stock, and document repaired transformers. 

  9. Prepare regulators and reclosers for shipment to repair facilities and maintain accurate associated records. 

  10. Receive and deliver material to satellite warehouses as needed. 

  11. Test hot line tools as required. 

  12. Maintain, organize and clean warehouse. 

  13. Build, maintain and test, grounds and mechanical jumpers. 

  14. Maintain tool crib and personal protective equipment (PPE) distribution. 

  15. Plow snow at various Inland facilities as needed. 

  16. Pick up, organize and deliver rubber goods. 

  17. Fill in for warehouseman foreman and other duties as assigned.  


The warehouseman shall have full authority to carry out these duties and responsibilities in conformity with established policies and procedures and shall utilize time in such a way as to fulfill the objectives of this position and the cooperative.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent. 

  2. A valid Class A CDL driver’s license with a good driving record is required.  

  3. Must be, or able to qualify as a forklift operator. 

  4. Mechanical aptitude and ability to use a variety of tools including, but not limited to, hydraulic and electrically powered hand tools. 

  5. Must possess and maintain a safe work record. 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Essential Job Duties:  Must be able to lift, carry, push/pull, grasp, handle, reach, apply forces with out-stretched arm away from body, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, twist, climb, stand and walk.

 

Working Conditions:

  1. Work is performed in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings, including office, warehouse, yard and community settings with employees.

  2. Must be willing and able to accept duty calls at any time of the day or night and in various outside weather conditions.

  3. Work requires using equipment that, if not used in the prescribed manner, may cause injuries.

  4. Chemicals and other substances are used in this position that, if not used properly and with the provided safety equipment, may cause injuries.
