Energy Star Homes

This program is designed to encourage members to build or purchase more energy efficient homes than the Washington state energy code requires. You will be rewarded with lower heating and cooling bills and a more comfortable living environment.

Energy Star Site Built Homes: $1,000

To qualify for a rebate from Inland Power, you must have pre-approval BEFORE construction begins.

New site built homes shall be constructed to meet Energy Star Homes Northwest specifications and technical requirements for site built single-family homes. Energy Star homes may be constructed with electric or non-electric fuel sources, however, Inland’s reimbursements shall only be for new electrically-heated homes. Members must meet the Energy Star specifications to be eligible for this rebate. Each Energy Star home completed must be certified by the appropriate state certification organization. For more information, visit or contact your Energy Services representative.

Northwest Energy Efficient Manufactured (NEEM) Housing: $1,000*

Manufactured homes are becoming increasingly popular. By ordering a new manufactured home that complies with the most recent NEEM standards, you can enjoy all the energy efficiency features and benefits available with site-built homes in an affordable package.

High Performance Manufactured Home: $4,000*

This manufactured home enjoys all the benefits of a NEEM home. However, the high performance manufactured home comes equipped with a mini-split “ductless” heat pump unit. These additional savings come from the efficiency gains from the ductless heat pump and the elimination of ducting.

*Note: To qualify for the above rebates you must be a current member of Inland Power & Light. Homes must be electrically-heated and designed, constructed and certified by NEEM.
