The Inland Ambassador Program
The Inland Ambassador program is a grassroots effort to enlist support from our members in shaping public policy. This special member program also offers you the opportunity to learn more about Inland and the electric utility industry.

The electric utility industry is changing at a rapid pace. Inland is working hard to educate our elected officials on issues facing our cooperative. However, legislators want to hear directly from our members – the voters. The more voters they hear from, the more they will do what’s right for Inland.

Inland Ambassadors are members who are willing to learn more about the issues we face at the local, state, and national levels. In turn, we will ask you occasionally to contact legislators about bills that might help or hurt Inland.

Become an Inland Ambassador
Each member owns a part of Inland. We need your help and support to protect the best interests of our electric cooperative. The Inland Ambassador program is an effort to educate our members about Inland and the utility industry in general. It is our goal to enlist your support in shaping public policy and the future success of our cooperative. Being an Inland Ambassador is easy, and lets you be as involved as your time will allow.

As an Inland Ambassador, you receive these benefits:
POWERLINE and Live from Olympia, newsletters covering energy, legislation and other industry issues facing electric cooperatives in Washington state.

• Briefings on current issues affecting the electric utility industry.

• Receptions with your elected officials sponsored by Inland.

• Public recognition during Inland’s Annual Meeting.

As an Inland Ambassador, we hope you will:
• Support the goals and objectives of your electric cooperative.

• Write a letter or email to explain how a piece of legislation affects your cooperative.

• Call your legislator’s office to notify him or her of your views.

• Give us feedback on this program and others you would like to see offered.
