Welcome Home Keeping with our long-held cooperative traditions, our new headquarters are entirely built around you, our members, with easy, convenient access to our members services staff; Inland’s administration; new construction resources; and wide range of information about energy conservation. That’s where you’ll find details about the incentives and rebates we offer to help you make smart energy choices. In 1951, Inland had 5,500 members. We operated from the location on Second Avenue in Spokane for 58 years. On September 14, 2009, with 38,000 members, we've moved, after 59 years, to 10110 West Hallett Road just off exit 272 on I-90 near Medial Lake about 10 miles west of Spokane. Directions Energy conservation and efficiency guided every decision we made in planning and constructing our new headquarters. Our design and construction methods conform with standards set by the U.S. Green Building Council for energy savings, water efficiency, carbon emission, indoor environmental quality, stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their effects on the environments, and the like. We are hoping to get a LEED Gold certification for the building. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Nothing has escaped our attention either. We took advantage of every opportunity to conserve energy – as well as our budget dollars.
Most of the furniture in our offices is used or has been reconditioned, reducing costs significantly. And natural light throughout the building replaces much of our lighting with a more economical source: the sun. As we settle into the new facility, we'll share move information with you, especially about the renewable energy demonstration installed on the campus. |
